A vibrant musical program titled “Sathsara Suyamaya – 2025” was successfully held on April 05th at the VIP Hall of the Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies. The event was organized by the second-year students of the Applied Archaeology, Anthropology, and Applied Mass Communication and Media Studies degree programs, conducted under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The event was graced by the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor P.B. Mandawala, who served as the chief guest. Other distinguished invitees included Venerable Gurugoda Siriwimala Thero, Assistant Registrar of the Student Registration and Examinations Division; Ms. Sanjana Koralage, Assistant Registrar of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Mr. W.D. Senaka Seneviratne, Lecturer, Department of Applied Mass Communication and Media Studies; Dr. Kanishka Wijeratne, Lecturer, Department of Anthropology; Ms. Ishari Dilmini, Lecturer, Department of Applied Archaeology; and Mrs. Niroshika Wijeratne, Lecturer, Department of English Language. The event also welcomed the presence of external lecturers, including Dr. Ashoka Karunaratne, Mr. Amila Nuwan Sri Shan, and Ms. Chathurangani Nishamalee.
Adding to the enthusiasm, students from the Faculty of Buddhist Studies and the School of ICT also participated in the event. The primary aim of “Sathsara Suyamaya – 2025” was to foster camaraderie among students and build a spirit of collaboration and friendship, especially welcoming and integrating new students into the academic community.
