136 වන ජාතික පුරාවිද්යා දිනයට සමගාමීව නාගානන්ද ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ අධ්යයන ආයතනයේ, මානවශාස්ත්ර හා සමාජීය විද්යා පීඨය මගින් සංවිධානය කරන්නට යෙදුනු ‘Archaeology Field School – 2026’ තෙදින පුරාවිද්යා වැඩමුළුව ජුනි මස 26, 27 සහ 28 යන තෙදින නාගානන්ද ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ අධ්යයන ආයතන පරිශ්රයේදී ඉතා සාර්ථක අන්දමින් පැවැත්වෙන්නට විය.
මෙහිදී,
- මැටි බඳුන් හඳුනාගැනීම හා විශ්ලේෂණය.
- පුරාවිද්යා ගවේශණ සඳහා LiDAR තාක්ෂණයේ භාවිතය.
- බිතුසිතුවම් නිර්මාණ තාක්ෂණය හා සංරක්ෂණ විධික්රම.
යන විෂය ක්ෂේත්රයන් අළලා මෙම තෙදින පුරාවිද්යා වැඩමුළුව පැවැත්වින. මේ සඳහා දිවයිනේ නන් දෙස විශ්වවිද්යාල හා ආයතන නියෝජනය කරමින් 100 කට ආසන්න විද්යාර්ථයින් පිරිසක් සම්බන්ධ විය.
In commemoration of the 136th National Archaeology Day, the ‘Archaeology Field School – 2026’ three-day workshop was successfully held on June 26th, 27th, and 28th at the Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS) campus premises. The event was organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the institute.
The three-day archaeology workshop covered the following subject areas:
- Pottery Identification and Analysis
- The Application of LiDAR Technology in Archaeological Exploration
- Mural Painting Techniques and Conservation Methods
Nearly 100 scholars and students representing various universities and institutions across the island participated in this event.
