ලෝක බෞද්ධ සංඝ සම්මේලනයේ 60 සංවත්සරයේ සත්කාරකත්වය දරණ ශ්රී ලංකාව මෙවර එය අප මානෙල්වත්ත නාගානන්ද ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ විශ්වවිද්යාලය කේන්ද්ර කරගනිමින් පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු සූදානම් කර තිබේ. ඒ පිළිබද සංවිධායක කමිටුවේ විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක් 2026.06.25 දින පැවැත්විණි. ඒ සංවිධායක කමිටු සභාපති ආචාර්ය සාහිත්යසූරී බෝදාගම චන්දිම නාහිමි, සංවිධායක කමිටු ලේකම් ආචාර්ය මාඉටිපේ විමලසාර නාහිමි, ඉත්තදෙමළියේ ඉන්දසාර නාහිමි, රඹුකේවේල ඤාණසීහ නාහිමි, තලගල සුමනරතන නාහිමි හා අතපත්තුකන්දේ ආනන්ද නාහිමි යන නාහිමිවරුන්ගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැත්විණි.
මෙහිදී ලෝක බෞද්ධ සංඝ සම්මේලනයේ 60 සංවත්සරය හා 11 වන මහා සභාවේ 2 වන විධායක සභා කමිටු රැස්වීම පැවැත්වීම පිළිබදවත් අප නාගානන්ද ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ අධ්යයන ආයතනයේ නිල විවෘත කිරීමේ උත්සවය පිළිබදවත් සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි.
මෙහිදී අදාළ විධායක කමිටුවේ නිල වෙබ් අඩවිය එළිදැක්වීම ද සිදුකෙරිණි.
Sri Lanka is preparing to host the 60th Anniversary of the World Buddhist Sangha Council (WBSC) with this historic international event centered at the Nagananda International Institute for Buddhist Studies, Manelwatta.
A special meeting of the Organizing Committee was held in 25 June 2026 under the leadership of Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Thero, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, together with Ven. Dr. Maitipe Wimalasara Thero, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, and Ven. Ittademaliya Indasara Thero, Ven. Rambukewela Gnanaseeha Thero, Ven. Thalagala Sumanarathana Thero, and Ven. Athapaththukande Ananda Thero.
The committee discussed preparations for the 60th Anniversary of the World Buddhist Sangha Council, the 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of the 11th General Conference, and the Official Opening Ceremony of the Nagananda International Institute for Buddhist Studies.
This landmark occasion is expected to strengthen international Buddhist cooperation while showcasing Sri Lanka’s enduring role as a global center of Buddhist heritage, education, and spiritual leadership.
