The Cultural concert the promote Indo-Sri Lankan cooperation conducted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was ceremonially held on 25.03.2023 in the Auditorium of the NIIBS.
Accordingly, Ven. Dr. Bodhagama Chandima Thero, Vice Chancellor of the NIIBS participated in this occasion. Sri Padasthanhi, Chancellor of Uvavellassa University, Sabaragamuwa Provincial Sanghanayake Most Venerable Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Nahimian, Buddhasasana, Religious Affairs and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayake, Presidential Religious Affairs Secretary Sujith Akkarawatta, distinguished guests including foreign ambassadors and the Honorary Secretary of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, our university studies. A large number of non-academic staff and parents participated. Also, Ven. Dr. Dhampe Vijitharathana Thero, Acting VC and Dean of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Prof. P. B. Mandawala, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Prof. Rangamini Werawatta, Director of the School of ICT, Mr. H.M.N.C. Herath, the Registrar and Mr. K.S. Nanayakkara, the Bursar and all the academic and Non-academic Staff participated in this occasion.
Bomiriya National School, Kaduwela won first place in the singing section, while Piliyandala Madhya Maha Vidyalaya won first place in the dance section.
