In line with the instructions of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, and in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka program, Manelwatta Nāgānanda International Buddhist University recently organized a beach cleanup under the theme “Clean Mind – Clean Beach” on August 7 at the Porutota Beach in Negombo.
The event was held with the participation of the university’s Vice Chancellor, Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Nayaka Thero, together with the Maha Sangha. In addition to the academic and non-academic staff of the university, nuns from the Buddhasravika Pirivena and a group of foreign delegates also joined the program.
