The inauguration ceremony for the admission of new students to the Sinhala and English medium Master of Arts degree programme conducted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS) was held on the 22nd of March 2025 at the Mezzanine hall of the institute’s main auditorium.
For this occasion, Ven. Dr. Dampe Vijithrathana Thero, Acting Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies; Emeritus Prof. Asanga Tilakaratne, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies; Ven. Sooriyawewa Sumedha Thero, Coordinator to the Vice Chancellor; Prof. Rangamini Werawatta, Director of the School of Information Communication Technology; Mr. Chamath De Silva, Chief Executive Officer; and Mr. Piyaratna Ranasinghe Arachchi, Registrar of NIIBS.
Additionally, the event saw the participation of the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) academic staff, administrative staff, and students from both English and Sinhala mediums.
